SATAN’S WEAPON

♦ The Devil Attacks God’s Image

Spiritual warfare is a vital part of our walk with God. There is a war going on around us that is invisible. You can’t see it in the physical. But it is real.. Satan is the enemy of every man, woman and child. Whether you are a Christian or not, he hates you because when God made you, He made you in His own image.

The Bible doesn’t teach us how to cope with our problems; it teaches us how to always walk in victory!

The devil does the same thing. Over and over.  He can’t get God because God is too powerful for him, so he goes after God’s image — you and I. But the difference is this: When there is an attack from the devil, you are a Christian, God’s Word tells you how to stand victorious in the victory that you have in Christ. On the other hand, if you are not a believer, then you are under the devil’s dominion and he can pick your number any time.

♦ THE DEVIL ATTACKS YOU’RE MIND        power-of-the-mind-Wallpaper__yvt2-300x225

When Satan wanted to lead the first man and woman into sin, he started by attacking the woman’s mind. This is made clear in 2 Corinthians 11:3. But I am afraid that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his craftiness, your minds will be led astray from the simplicity and purity of devotion to Christ.

If Satan can get you to believe a lie, then he can begin to work in your life to lead you into sin. This is why he attacks the mind, and this is why we must protect our minds from the attacks of the wicked one.

For as he thinks within himself, so he is. Proverbs 23:7

♦ SATAN’S WEAPON –  LIES            6986301

Satan came to Eve as the serpent, the subtle deceiver. [This is] the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world. Revelation 12:9 There is no truth in him . . . for he is a liar and the father of lies. John 8:44

Our Lord Jesus did not use his divine power to defeat Satan. He used the same weapon that is available THE DECEIVER 17 to us today:

The Word of God.

Don’t Just Cope, Walk In Victory

The good news today is that the Bible doesn’t teach us how to cope with our problems; it teaches us how to always walk in victory! The world teaches us how to cope. There are seminars that teach us how to cope with depression, sickness and relationship breakdowns. But God wants us to overcome.

Deuteronomy 20:4 “…for the Lord your God is he who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies, to give you the victory.”

Once you believe in Christ, you have everything in Christ. Everything! The Bible says in Ephesians 1:3, “Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly places in Christ.” Notice how the tense used indicates a past action — He has blessed us — with everything!

But you, child of God, have everything. In Christ, you have everything. You have eternal life. You have all the promises of God written in the Bible. You have the Holy Spirit and you can have all the fruits of the Spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness and self-control.

You look exactly like Jesus when you are wearing His armor

Let’s look at Ephesians 6:10–18:

10 Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
