The fourth Watch

Matthew 14:24-33 (KJV)

24 But the ship was now in the midst of the sea, tossed with waves: for the wind was contrary. 25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went unto them, walking on the sea. 26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a spirit; and they cried out for fear. 27 But straightway Jesus spake unto them, saying, Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. 28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it be thou, bid me come unto thee on the water. 29 And he said, Come. And when Peter was come down out of the ship, he walked on the water, to go to Jesus. 30 But when he saw the wind boisterous, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried, saying, Lord, save me.

Perhaps there is someone reading this and they feel that there life has been tossed around by winds, the winds of life. Maybe there is someone who feels that their finances is been tossed around or their marriage life is tossed with the waves, maybe it is a storm of sickness that has come into your life. Whatever the winds are whatever the waves are. I am here to tell you at the mitts of the storm, lookup for Jesus, because the bible says : 25 Now in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them walking on the sea,

In those days they divided the night into four watches form 6pm to 9pm, first watch- 9pm to 12midnight, second watch-  12 midnight to 3am, third watch, form 3 am to 6 am is the darkest time before dawn, fourth watch.

In the darkest hour of the disciples, the fourth watch Jesus comes to save you.

In your darkest hours Jesus will not leave you alone, look at the style that Jesus comes, He is walking on the sea, and He was walking on the very problem that was threatening them. The sea was threatening to overwhelm the disciples the sea can drown them and here comes Jesus walking on the sea towards them.

Jesus is walking on your financial troubles towards you,

Jesus is waking on your sickness towards you! The Lord on High is above the water.

He does not banded you in your situation, then Jesus said to them “Be of good cheer; it is I; be not afraid. ( In creek it is, I AM)

Then Peter said Lord, let me come unto thee on the water. With Jesus we can say He the Son of God, He can walk on water but now Peter is walking on water like Jesus.

His eyes are on Jesus. (Put your worries, finances and sickness on Jesus)

How is this practical? How can you see Jesus? By becoming like Jesus is. He is enjoying the first born blessings by looking at the first born.

But when he took his eyes of Jesus he was afraid, because he started looking at his symptoms and his fear. When he started to sink, the Lord stretched out His hand to help him.

Remember Jesus will come to you in your darkest hour, don’t look at your situation instead trust Jesus and look to Him.

He will meet you at your fourth watch.
