His name is Jesus….

The world will always be the world – when you say A, they will say B.
We are not out to please the world, we are out to please God.
In heaven today – the greatest and highest spot in the universe, at the Father’s right hand -there is a Man.

Jesus can understand our weaknesses because He is also fully Man.
Jesus is as much as a Man as we are, but we are not as much as a man as He is.
The devil today is bruised and battered because of this Man, Jesus.

The Holy Spirit’s spiritual gifts are greater than any gift that man can give you.

The word “gift” is “Charisma” in Greek which means “grace gift”.
Receiving this gift is not by your works or efforts but it is by grace. God doesn’t pour His gifts out by a jar – He pours it out by His entire throne room!

There are 39 books in the Old Testament. First there are 17 historical books.
In the middle there are 5 poetical books. After that there are another 17 books.
17 is the number of victory in the Bible.

The message of the Book of Ecclesiastes is that man’s heart is too big for this world.
King Solomon wrote 1005 songs in his lifetime. There is one Song of Songs that God includes in the Bible.

The message of Song of Songs is that our God is too big for our heart.
Ecclesiastes is about the king who had the power to indulge in everything in this world. His conclusion: vanity of vanities.

Everything without Jesus is empty. Everything with Jesus is prosperous!!

Rewards in heaven are distributed based on how faithful you were in using the grace that was given to you by God in the first place.

Romans 7:4-11 – Deliverance from addictions and sinful habits do not happen by your efforts.
If it is by your efforts, you have to keep putting in the effort to maintain it. But if it is by grace, it is effortless!

If you are dead to the Law, the Spirit will tell you how to love your wife. But the Law doesn’t.
The sinful passions in us need a law to be stirred up. If you still have the Law in your life, you will bear fruit to death. If you are dead to the Law, you will bear fruit to God.

When God gave the Law, 3000 people died at the foot of Mount Sinai. When God gave the Spirit, 3000 people were saved.

This shows that the letter (the Law) kills whereas the Spirit gives life.
The Law that we are delivered from is not the ceremonial law, but it is the Ten Commandments.
The Law says “You shall not steal”. But Grace makes you a giver.

We tend to qualify people, even fellow Christians. But the people who Jesus healed while He was on earth were not Christians or believers. They were sinners.
All that is needed to receive from God is to believe and receive.

The Greek word “Aphorme” means “a place where a movement or attack is made. A base of operations” – it is no use to just deal with the effects of sin, but it has to be dealt with from its root.

The devil appears as an angel of light – A master liar never tells you a full lie – He tells you half a lie.

It’s the 20% untruth that will hold you back and keep you in bondage.
The Law was given to Israel when they were young. But grace is for matured sons.
If we are under Law, we are not killed by sin, but by breaking the commandment of the Law.

“Jesus loves me” is the greatest theology of all. God knew that man cannot keep the Law. God gave the Law to bring man to the end of himself.

Now we love because Jesus first loved us.

“Therefore, my brethren, you also have become dead to the law through the body of Christ, that you may be married to another—to Him who was raised from the dead, that we should bear fruit to God. For when we were in the flesh, the sinful passions which were aroused by the law were at work in our members to bear fruit to death. But now we have been delivered from the law, having died to what we were held by, so that we should serve in the newness of the Spirit and not in the oldness of the letter. What shall we say then? Is the law sin? Certainly not! On the contrary, I would not have known sin except through the law. For I would not have known covetousness unless the law had said, “You shall not covet.” But sin, taking opportunity by the commandment, produced in me all manner of evil desire. For apart from the law sin was dead. I was alive once without the law, but when the commandment came, sin revived and I died. And the commandment, which was to bring life, I found to bring death. For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it killed me.” (Romans 7:4-11 NKJV

  1. “When God gave the Law, 3000 people died at the foot of Mount Sinai. When God gave the Spirit, 3000 people were saved.” I don’t believe I’ve ever read that before, but you’re right! The meaning is so clear! Thank you so much for sharing this! Wow! That will give me something to think about and marvel over all day!
